Overhead Conveyors
Italimpianti designs and constructs standard overhead chain conveyor systems as well as equipment to specific customer requirements for drying all types of skins. Italimpianti overhead conveyor systems can be designed to follow all routes including through tunnels and temperature and humidity controlled closed chambers. Conveyor systems can be installed on a single floor or can be continued to other floor levels. Generally these systems are fixed at the top part of the building and certain sloping sections are installed to bring products to loading and unloading points at reachable operator height.
RANGE OF APPLICATIONS
There are no restrictions in using this drying method on a vast range of materials, and there are considerable advantages.
It has been proven for some time that these drying methods are able to guarantee advantages that cannot be achieved using other systems. Conveyor system maintenance costs are among the cheapest that exist, the conveyors reduce space problems within the plant, and rapid cost amortisation makes overhead chain conveyors a strong point for producers.
TDRYING TUNNELS AND CHAMBERS
EKODRY is a solution designed by Italimpianti to remove moisture from hides and skins using drying tunnels. The "single, double or tower" configuration permits these tunnels to be adapted to a wide range of applications. EKODRY is available in two versions: MANUAL or AUTOMATIC. On manual systems the operator controls the parameters directly, regulating the amount of air to be introduced, the temperature inside the tunnel, and the conveyor speed; the automatic version is equipped with automated controls to perform these processes.
The AUTOMATIC model is a far more sophisticated version than the MANUAL model, in that the management software can control and integrate each single drying process parameter to guarantee perfect dehumidification on all areas of the skin.
Very similar to the tunnel system is the DRYING CHAMBER, which is an authentic sealed humidity-controlled chamber. In this case, the skins are attached to the overhead conveyor inside the chamber, which is then hermetically sealed to perform the dehumidification process.
The choice between the two systems depends on a range of conditions such as the type of plant, the number of skins to be dried, productive work methods etc. For this reason our technicians are available to give customers expert advice based on their 30 years’ experience in this sector.
